Matthew Pragnell
Chief Executive Officer (CGM Group) & Chairman CGM Jamaica

Matthew Pragnell started in the insurance industry in London as a graduate recruit, working at Lloyd’s with C.T.Bowring/Marsh in 1981 and in 1987 he joined Bain Hogg/Aon. He spent three years in Mexico as Executive Director managing Bain Hogg’s reinsurance operations there.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer, CGM Group where he started his Jamaican career in April 1996, as Managing Director of its retail insurance broking operations. Mr. Pragnell is an insurance specialist particularly knowledgeable of reinsurance, property, liability and agricultural insurances through his various professional affiliations with Bain Hogg / AON departments.

He is a graduate from the University of London with B.A. in Classics. He is also a registered insurance broker in U.K. by examination (CII) – IRIB.
